- Works for runners who's easy pace is quite fast
- Misses an important intensity
- Doesn’t bridge the gap between intensities
- Suits a very small number of very well trained runners training for very specific events
Pyramidal training
Mostly easy | Moderate amount of medium intensity | Small amount of hard
- Works well for low to high volume runners
- Works for slower and faster runners
- Covers all intensities
- Bridges the gap between intensities
- Works for all runners, including less fit runners and those training on lower volumes
